Strategic Planning High Country Writers Style

14th January 2021

As always, spending an afternoon at Waterloo Station in its glorious atmosphere is balm for the soul. Peace and tranquility are ever present, yet there is always something, somewhere, that's being restored, refurbished, repurposed and created on this working rural station.

October might be a long ten months away for many, but for Michael Burge, Deborah Anderson and me, each a strategic partner in the High Country Writers Retreat and its sister event the High Country Writers Festival, it's just around the corner.

This means that the meeting on one of Waterloo's verandas today (14th Jan) wasn't just social, though it always feels that way.  Barely more than a fledgling retreat and festival, we're thrilled to be heading into our third year with more support and early expressions of interest than we might have imagined.

Naturally, we're refining and developing programs and offers and each of us is looking forward to the next step and being able to reveal-all as soon as possible.  WTS.
